1118. Lord Śiva, who once burned the three cities, and Brahmā, born upon the lotus, stood amazed. The three worlds and their inhabitants bowed down with awe and eager devotion, as He tore open Hiraṇya’s chest into two halves with His mane blazing like fire and His teeth sharp like swords.
