மற்றைமலர்மிசைமேல்அயனும்வியப்ப *
முரிதிரைமாகடல் போல்முழங்கி
மூவுலகும்முறையால்வணங்க *
எரியனகேசரவாளெயிற்றோடு
இரணியனாகம்இரண்டுகூறா *
அரியுருவாமிவரார்கொல்? என்ன

Simple Translation

1118. Lord Śiva, who once burned the three cities, and Brahmā, born upon the lotus, stood amazed. The three worlds and their inhabitants bowed down with awe and eager devotion, as He tore open Hiraṇya’s chest into two halves with His mane blazing like fire and His teeth sharp like swords. When asked, “Who is this mighty One in the fierce form of a lion?” He answered with majesty and grace: “I am Attabhuyakaraththān —I’ve come for you!”
