To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, the supreme Lord Sriman Nārāyanā (emperumān), took birth amongst us in His complete incarnation as Sri Krishna and delivered Sri Bhagavad Gitā leveraging Arjunā. However considering Him as one among us, many of us didn’t take His instructions seriously. So the most compassionate emperumān entrusted His eternal associates to deliver us. His eternal associates took birth amongst us as Āzhvārs, per the instruction of emperumān. Āzhvārs leveraged the path of devotion to enlighten us.
