Simple Translation

The lovely Tiruppēr, situated on the south bank of the river Poṉṉi, with floodwaters laden with costly rubies, is the favored abode of Tirumāl. He entered my heart and spread Himself completely when I merely uttered the name of Tirumāliruñcōlai, the holy Mount.

Explanatory Notes

The Āzhvār brings into focus, the Lord’s redemptive grace, shed on the subjects with sweet spontaniety, on the slightest pretext. My Father, who resides in Tiruppēr, has now joyously entered my heart and stands firmly within. Though He consumed the seven clouds, seven oceans, seven mountains, and the seven worlds, He didn't feel full until now, spreading Himself completely inside me.

The Lord, dwelling in Tiruppēr surrounded by lovely orchards where parrots reside, is about to bestow upon me the immaculate SriVaikuntam of great splendor. My eyes rejoice, knowing that the SriVaikuntam is brought within my easy reach by the Lord’s grace, and my mind dances with joy.

The Lord in Tiruppēr city, Who also dwells in Tirumāliruñcōlai and many other delightful abodes, has today entered my heart and filled it completely. He has promised to stay there forever. I revel in His love, drinking deeply of that insatiable nectar.
