dam was built on that ocean (by ṣrī rāma) and was broken —

or he totally denies knowing about me —

not of the nature; —

not carrying out kainkaryam at your divine feet —

after getting into a deep hurdle (getting caught by a crocodile and unable to free itself from the crocodile) —

on that day [once upon a time], under the shade of the banyan tree —

during that time when you divinely measured the worlds —

this huge world surrounded by ocean, that you measured then because of your special relationship with it —

 cannot be fully spoken of by us —

is beyond the ability of my āthmā; —

that he had, in previous time, (churned the ocean and) gave nectar (to dhĕvas) and was happy —

who is there who will say that this is not correct? —

is not appropriate (for you) —

expecting something in return (from them) is also not appropriate —

though there is no personal gain (by reforming others) —

 on the day when earth was engulfed by deluge —

 when sugrīva surrendered —

 that day (when indhra showered hail storm) —

 long ago (when earth was consumed by deluge) —

 when bhagīratha was bringing gangā down —
