this expansive earth where everyone is fitting well —

this permanent, expansive —

being the distinguished daughter of himavān, the unshakeable king of mountains —

residing permanently at thiruvarangam —

eating (the sun’s) hot rays which are established firmly —

being firmly established as righteousness, wealth, love and mŏksham (attaining paramapadham or ṣīvaikuṇtam) —

no one is there who has seen a great medicine —

as our thirumāl (emperumān) who has taken permanent residence in the corridor [of mrigaṇdu maharishi’s hermitage] at thirukkŏvalūr —

a saying “one should not engage in madal to sustain (one’s life)” —

even when manmadha strings arrows of flowers on his bow and shoots (affirming that engaging with madal is the purushārtham (benefit) now) —

in the expansive ethereal layer, with the region of clouds fitting well —

the amaśing entity who has taken permanent residence at thirukkadanmallai (present day mahābalipuram) —

even the immobile ocean will roar —

right at the central region of sun, whose rays are permanent and fierce —

one who drove away their long standing fear of death —

renouncing the wealthy state of kŏsala —

(ṣiva) spreading his hands with thousands of shoulders in all directions —

the drum tied (to the waist) to sound —

being followed by beetles which had settled on the flowers of kalpaka vruksha (celestial, wish-fulfilling tree) —
