மண்ணுலகில் மாயவன் தரும் காட்சிகள்

2771 பொன்னார்கனைகழற்கால் ஏழுலகும்போய்க்கடந்து * அங்கு
ஒன்னாவசுரர் துளங்கச்செலநீட்டி *
மன்னிவ்வகலிடத்தை மாவலியைவஞ்சித்து *
தன்னுலகமாக்குவித்த தாளானை * -

Simple Translation

2771. All the gods and the Asurans saw him and trembled as his feet went upwards and took over the wide world and the sky. He cheated Mahābali with his feet and made all the world his own. ” (61)

பொன்னார் — பொன்னாலான; கனை கழல் கால் — வீரத்தண்டை அணிந்த திருவடி; ஏழ்உலகும் — ஏழு உலகங்களையும்; போய்க் கடந்து — தாண்டி; அங்கு ஒன்னா — அந்த யாக பூமியிலுள்ள; அசுரர் — நமுசி முதலிய அசுரர்கள்; துளங்க — துன்பப்படும்படி; செல நீட்டி — மேலும் வியாபிக்கச்செய்து; மன் இந்த — நித்யமாய் விசாலமான; அகலிடத்தை — இப்பூ மண்டலத்தை; மாவலியை வஞ்சித்து — மகாபலியை வஞ்சித்து; தன் உலகம் — இந்த உலகத்தைத் தன்னுடையதாகவே; ஆக்குவித்த — ஆக்கிகொண்ட; தாளானை — திருவடிகளையுடைய பெருமானை

pon ār kanai kazhal kāl — the coveted divine foot, decorated with valorous anklet and making a sound; ĕzh ulagum pŏy kadandhu — going across all the worlds above; angu onnā asurar thul̤anga — making the inimical demons (such as namuchi et al) in those seven worlds to suffer; sela nītti — extending further (to go beyond); mannu i agal idaththai — this permanent, expansive; māvaliyai vanjiththu — deceiving mahābali (like this); than ulagam ākkuviththa thāl̤ānai — having divine feet, which made [such worlds] as his world
