தேவர் உலகத்து இன்பம் வேண்டாம்; தெய்வ இன்ப வழியில் செல்வோம்

2728 துன்னுநறுமலரால் தோள்கொட்டி * கற்பகத்தின்
மன்னுமலர்வாய் மணிவண்டுபின்தொடர *
இன்னிளம்பூந்தென்றல் புகுந்தீங்கிளமுலைமேல் *
நன்னறுஞ்சந்தனச்சேறு புலர்த்த * தாங்கருஞ்சீர்-

Simple Translation

2728. The sweet fresh breeze enters their room and dries the fragrant sandal paste that the Apsarasas have smeared on their young breasts. (17)

ŏr mandhāram thunnu naṛumalarāl thŏl̤ kotti — decorating the shoulders with fragrant flowers which are from the distinguished mandhāram tree (a celestial flower bearing tree); kaṛpagaththin mannu malar vāy maṇivaṇdu pinthodara — being followed by beetles which had settled on the flowers of kalpaka vruksha (celestial, wish-fulfilling tree); in il̤a pū thenṛal — the most enjoyable southerly wind; īngu pugundhu — wafting inside wherever these people are going; il̤a mulai mĕl — on top of the young bosom; nal naṛu sandhana sĕṛu ul̤ pularththa — drying up a fragrant sandal wood paste
