emperumān who removed the sorrow of gajĕndhran —

 being our lord —

 īṣ the form of sarvĕṣvaran who is the lord of everyone. —

 and set under the divine feet of emperumān; as this happened, —

if they are regarded as “our servitors” —

is the point. —

residing in the salt pan inside the garden on the seashore, to be considered as ours, to be engaged in your service —

and say about our absolute relationship (aiyan – father), and, divine names, {translators note: em aiyan irāmānusan is the divine name of maṇavāl̤a māmunigal̤s divine son of pūrvāṣramam} —

 are you not the lord? —

we were desirous —

being eternally sweet (for me) —

my mother, who has a speech which is similar to that of a beautiful parrot, took pity on me, seeing me —

true nature (svarūpam), being (sthithi), and action/growth (pravruththi), —

other than the one who is enjoyable for us in the same way he is enjoyed by the nithyasūris —

my swamy (master) nammāzhvār blessed —

 ẏou should show your mercy towards us —

(same meaning as num kūraththāzhvān) —

is because that is where there is the most happiness. ṭhis is said in mukthi: mŏksha: mahānandha:. —

porul sorindhān, where the focus is on his being most virtuous; avap porul̤ harmful meaning; —

those who are dedicated only to emperumānār, who are our lords – shall be the meaning. —
