Regardless of Their Birth, Your Devotees Alone are the Highest

எக்குலத்தாராயினும் நின் அடியவர்களே உயர்ந்தவர்கள்

913 பழுதிலாவொழுகலாற்றுப் பலசதுப்பேதிமார்கள்! *
இழிகுலத்தவர்களேலும் எம்மடியார்களாகில் *
தொழுமினீர் கொடுமின்கொள்மின் என்று நின்னோடு மொக்க *

Simple Translation

913. Faultless well-bred ones, well versed in the four Vedās, -- even if born in poor families, -- if they are your devotees, you treat them on par with yourself, worthy of worship, saying, “Revere them, give them, take to them. ” O Lord of walled Arangama-nagar!

madhil̤ thiruvarangaththānĕ — ŏh one who is residing inside the temple with high walls!; ozhugal āṛu — in the lengthy lineage starting with brahmā, up to themselves; pazhudhu ilā — without any blemish; pala sadhuppĕdhimārgal̤ — those who are learned in the four vĕdhas!; em adiyārgal̤ āgil — if they are regarded as “our servitors”; izhi kulaththavargal̤ ĕlum — #NAME?; nīr — you; thozhumin — worship (them); kodumin — teach them (the special knowledge that you have); kol̤min — learn from them (if they have special knowledge); enṛu — thus; ninnŏdum okka — as your equal; vazhipada — to worship; arul̤ināy pŏl — did you not divine!

Detailed Explanation

pazhudhilā ozhugalĀṟṟu – Starting from Brahmā and extending down through a long lineage, they belong to a family where no transgression or fault can be attributed to them. ozhugal refers to a long lineage, and Āṟṟu means path. Whether in their birth or in their conduct, they do not deviate from the qualities of a true brāhmaṇa.
