oh great benefactor who performed difficult tasks and helped! —

 ḥim who churned the milky ocean having waves splashing, —

standing at the doorstep of other deities —

standing at the doorsteps of other deities —

all the education that they have had is very lowly. —

when was the ocean (of milk) churned? —

please open the door; —

(we are) holding the entrance beam of your (house) —

in the pond that is in the back of your house —

the lowly benefits which are already present —

lowliness —

churned —

butter that was churned —

outside the entrance [to the āṣram where the three āzhvārs were standing] —

know till the end —

being lowly in terms of their birth —

who churned (for dhĕvas) —

churning (the ocean) —

churned and fulfilled their [devotees-- here dhĕvas-] desires —
