Simple Translation

2435. All that a person has learned is a waste if he does not worship Nedumāl the only god, the most ancient of the all the three gods.

தேவராய் — அக்நி இந்திரன் முதலிய தேவதைகளாய்; நிற்கும் — நிற்கும்; அத் தேவும் — அந்த தெய்வமும்; அத் தேவரில் — அந்த தேவர்களுக்குள்; மூவராய் — மும்மூர்த்திகளாயும்; நிற்கும் — நிற்கும்; முது — அவற்றில் பிரதம அவதாரமான; புணர்ப்பும் — விஷ்ணுவாகவும்; யாவராய் — அறிவுடைய ஆத்மாக்களாகவும்; நிற்கின்றது — அனைத்துமாகவும் நிற்கும்; எல்லாம் — எல்லாம்; நெடு மால் என்று — திருமால் என்று; ஓராதார் — ஆராய்ந்து உணர மாட்டாதவர்கள்; கற்கின்றது — கற்கும் கல்வி; எல்லாம் கடை — மிகத் தாழ்ந்ததே

dhĕvarāy niṛkum aththĕvum — among (ādhithya, indhra et al) dhĕvathās (celestial entities) standing as vishṇu and as upĕndhra; aththĕvaril — among those dhĕvas; mūvar āy niṛkum — standing as one among the three mūrthi (forms); mudhu puṇarppum — the first incarnation; yāvar āy niṛkinṛadhu ellām — standing as all chith (sentient) and achith (insentient) entities such as dhĕvas et al; nedumāl enṛu ŏrādhār — those who do not analyse and know that he is nārāyaṇa alone; kaṛkinṛadhu ellām kadai — all the education that they have had is very lowly.
