2167. O lord, you, the generous one, carried Govardhanā hills to save the cows and the cowherds from the storm. As you stay with Lakshmi in the beautiful Thirukkovalur temple, do you stay at the entrance, in the middle or inside?

குன்று — கோவர்த்தன மலையை; எடுத்து — குடையாகத் தூக்கி; பாயும் பனி — பொழிகிற மழையை; மறுத்த — தடுத்துக் காத்த; பண்பாளா — குணசாலியே!; வாசல் கடை — திருவாசலுக்கு; கழியா — வெளியே போகாமலும்; உள் புகா — உள்ளே புகாமலும்; காமர் — விரும்பத்தக்க; பூங் கோவல் — அழகிய திருக்கோவலூரில் (பொய்கை பூதம் பேயாழ்வார்கள் மூவரும் தங்கி இருந்த); இடை கழியே — இடை கழியையே; பற்றி — விரும்பிய இடமாகக் கொண்டு; நீயும் திருமகளும் — நீயும் திருமகளும்; இனி நின்றாய் — இப்போது நின்றருளினாய் அன்றோ!; ஆல் — ஆச்சரியம்!

kunṛu eduththu — lifting gŏvardhanagiri (like an umbrella); pāyum pani maṛuththa — blocking the torrential rain; paṇbāl̤ā — ŏh one who is simple!; vāsal kadai — outside the entrance [to the āṣram where the three āzhvārs were standing]; kazhiyā — without going out; ul̤ pugā — not entering; kāmar pūm kŏval — at thirukkŏvalūr which has both natural and artificial beauty; idai kazhiyĕ — only the corridor (space between the entrance and the inner portion); paṝi — as dwelling place; nīyum thirumagal̤um — periya pirātti (ṣrī mahālakshmi) and you; ini — now; ninṛāyāl — did you not shower your mercy by standing!
