rudhra [ṣiva] who has beautiful puṇyam (virtuous deeds) —

porul sorindhān, where the focus is on his being most virtuous; avap porul̤ harmful meaning; —

ŏh! what a virtuous one he is! —

considering as refuge —

there are no wounds in your ears —

above the wound —

You embraced her —

two marudham trees [a species of trees] which are joined (together) without any gap —

 to marry —

is most virtuous, you see! —

the first incarnation —

standing as a collection —

to cause hurt by breaking —

performance of any holy austerity for such benefit (of you getting me); —

 to become wounded —

we are blessed (have good karmā) to have you born; —

the union and separation with such results —

comes into the heart and embraces —

in a wound —

emperumān who harmed his divine heart —
