கண்ணனது பீதாம்பரத்தைக் கொண்டு வீசுங்கள்

627 கண்ணனென்னும்கருந்தெய்வம் காட்சிபழகிக்கிடப்பேனை *
புண்ணில்புளிப்பெய்தாற் போலப்புறநின்றழகுபேசாதே *
பெண்ணின்வருத்தமறியாத பெருமா னரையில்பீதக
வண்ணஆடைகொண்டு * என்னை வாட்டம்தணியவீசீரே. (2)

627. "O mothers! I lie immersed in the sight of the dark -hued Kannan. Your gossip is like pouring tamarind juice on a wound. Bring the colorful silk cloth that adorns the waist of the Lord who doesn't understand a girl's despair. Fan me with His waist cloth to give me solace. "
