kŏl̤ uṇdān anṛi vandhu

coming unconditionally instead of being pursued (by me)

en uyir uṇdān

being the one who consumes me

 ivan uṇdān enṛu 

 saying -he ate-

 veṇṇey uṇdān enṛu 

 that he stole the butter and mercifully ate it

mā kadal nanju uṇdān thanakkum iṛai āvān

he is the swāmy (lord) for rudhra (ṣivan) who swallowed the poison which got generated during churning of the big ocean

kongai nanju uṇdānai

emperumān who drank the poison from the bosom (of demon pūthanā)

muṝavum thān uṇdān

consumed me without any remainder;

uvarikkadal nanjam uṇdān

ṣiva, who swallowed the poison which emanated from salty ocean

pār uṇdān

(emperumān) swallowed the earth

 being the one who mercifully consumed

thŏnṛa uṇdān

ate in such a way that everyone knew

udanĕ uṇdān

he desired without discriminating between what is to be given up and what is to be pursued!

ulagŏdu uyir uṇdān ār

(during deluge) who swallowed and protected the worlds and the creatures (in the world)?

krishṇa sucked her life and eliminated the enemy/hurdle, his

ūṇāga uṇdān

one who drank the milk as his food (to sustain himself)

one who protected them by keeping them in his stomach
