periya thiruvadi (garudāzhvār) himself —

 being the unmatched rider of garudāzhvān having beautiful wings, —

 she is dancing like garudan who is having beautiful wings (beautiful because it serves to transport emperumān) who is like the flag; —

the leader bird, Garuda —

and apply tamarind to the hair —

ŏh flocks of birds (who have wings which help in your acts)! —

huge bird garuda with massive wings —

and recognized —

and where species of birds —

 “ŏh the thief riding on garudāzhvān, —

being pecked by vultures —

one who has garuda on his flag —

(his) garuda flag mast —

the lord who has garuda as his flag —

ŏh one who is having periya thiruvadi (garudāzhvār) as his vehicle and the flag (so he can visit his devotees and give them pleasure when they see him from distance)! —

in the temple of perumān who is garudans leader, [garudan who is the head of birds] —

birds are calling while going (after waking up), and —

(and) birds are spreading out (to look for prey); —

tearing the beak of a crane in which a demon had entered —

(empirān who) tore and threw away the mouth of bakāsuran who came in the form of a bird, —
