2166. O heart, controlling your five senses, you carry water and worship him in the proper way, but do you know the place where he rests on the snake bed? Do you know where his eagle flag is? Tell me.

padi kaṇḍu aṛidhiyē – This can be interpreted as Āzhvār inquiring of his heart whether it has perceived and understood the divine qualities of Emperumān, or if it has beheld and comprehended His sacred form. The term padi can denote either the quality or the physical form of the Divine. Emperumān’s divine physical form is indeed an integral part of His attributes.
