on hearing the divine names of emperumān who dons garland on his long crown, and on which beetles keep swarming —

that hiraṇyakaṣipu’s —

with red hair —

after this physical body is gone [after death], it will get another body (as mentioned in ṣāsthras) —

ŏh one who is having such auspicious names! —

carrying out service by pouring gangā water which was actually dharmam (all the righteousness)[ which melted upon seeing emperumān’s divine foot] —

reciting the great names which engage the person (reciting them) and destroying them —

being apt/qualified to keep (such nammāzhvār) is one —

offered to spirirts —

will flow only towards the dark complexioned ocean which keeps throwing out waves —

the divine names of the entity who holds the large disc —

in the last moments —

and killed the wicked Putana —

like rain —

of Putana —

the milk of Putanā —

by drinking her milk —

the milk of the devil Putana —

awakening from his sleep in thiruppāṛkadal (milky ocean) —
