on the serpent bed (where the serpent-s hoods are expanded due to coming in contact with emperumān)

padam nāga aṇai nediya māṛku

to the supreme being who is reclining on ṣĕshasayanam (mattress of ādhiṣĕshan) who has hoods

padam koṇda pāmbu aṇai

in the bed that is thiruvananthāzhwān (ādhi sĕshan) who has opened his hood,

aṛam thāngum mādhavanĕ ennum manam padaiththu

having the heart which says “ŏh mādhava who establishes rightesouness!”

dhanam padaiththāril

among those who have earned money (for conducting thadhīyārādhanam – feeding others)

padar eduththa paim kamalam koṇdu

taking lotus flowers which have blossomed well (in order to lay them at the divine feet of emperumān)

padaiththa em mugil vaṇṇanĕ

created and because of such magnanimous act similar to that of dark clouds (that shower the rain irrespective of land or water), you became my saviour!

āzhi ennum padaiyŏdu

that is well known as the divine weapon chakram;

namakku enṛum mādhavanĕ ennum manam padaiththu

having the heart with conviction that “it is only emperumān who is everything for us at all times”

 āzhi ennum padaiyŏdu 

 with the weapon thiruvāzhi (divine chakra)

nī padai enṛu

saying -you create-
