மாதவன் பேரையே ஓதி நினை

2225 சிறந்தார்க்கெழுதுணையாம் செங்கண்மால்நாமம் *
மறந்தாரைமானிடமாவையேன் * அறம்தாங்கும்
மாதவனே! என்னும் மனம்படைத்து * மற்றவன்பேர்
ஓதுவதே நாவினாலுள்ளு.

Simple Translation

2225. For good devotees, the names of beautiful-eyed Thirumāl are a true help. I will not consider those who forget him as human beings. Keep in your mind the name Mādhavan, the god of dharma, and recite his names— that is the only good thing that you should do.

siṛandhārkku — the great ṣrīvaishṇavas (followers of emperumān); sem kaṇ māl — emperumān’s, who is having reddish eyes; nāmam — divine names; maṛandhārai — those who forget; mānidam ā — [considered as having been] born in the species of humans; vaiyĕn — ī will not keep in my heart; aṛam thāngum mādhavanĕ ennum manam padaiththu — having the heart which says “ŏh mādhava who establishes rightesouness!”; maṝu — and; avan pĕr — his divine names; nāvināl ŏdhuvadhĕ — reciting with tongue; ul̤l̤u — keep meditating (that it is apt for us)
