keeping on us, his followers —

 placing her beautiful hand —

keeping the hand on the (subtle) difficult-to-bear waist which is like a beautiful lightning —

 one who mercifully placed —

searching for emperumān —

keeps in his head —

one who did a great activity, carrying (that earth) —

 you who reveal the desire to keep! —

 oh you who are desiring to place! (due to fighting with the lion) —

letting the senses wander about without securing them firmly —

having it here also —

ŏ (krishṇā) you have placed your broad chest —

contemplating in your heart/mind —

keeping the divine head (as an indication of his being the l̤ord) —

keeping it atop (himself in the form of tortoise) —

atop the form of kūrma (tortoise ) i.e. on himself when he took incarnation in the form of tortoise —

(emperumānār) keeps the divine of āzhvār in his mind as ever present —

keeping emperumānār in my deceitful mind (cheating emperumānār easily) —

bring it closer —

(during krishṇāvathāram) placing him on her hip (like mother yasŏdhā does) —
