திருமாலை மனமார நோக்கு: அஞ்ஞானம் நீங்கும்

2240 அருள்புரிந்தசிந்தை அடியார்மேல்வைத்து *
பொருள்தெரிந்துகாண்குற்றவப்போது * - இருள்திரிந்து
நோக்கினேன்நோக்கி நினைந்தேனதொண்கமலம் *
ஓக்கினேனென்னையுமங்கோர்ந்து.

Simple Translation

2240. I worship his devotees with my good heart and no longer do wrong. My evil thoughts have gone away and I think only of his beautiful lotus feet, meditate on him and worship him.

அருள் புரிந்த — அருளோடு கூடின; சிந்தை — திருவுள்ளத்தை; அடியார் — அடியவராகிய; மேல் வைத்து — எங்கள் மேலே வைத்து; பொருள் — பொருளல்லாத எங்களை; தெரிந்து — ஒரு பொருளாக நினைத்து; காண்குற்ற — கடாக்ஷித்தருளுகிற; அப்போது — காலத்திலே; இருள் திரிந்து — அஜ்ஞான இருள் நீங்கப் பெற்று; நோக்கினேன் — ஸ்வரூபத்தை ஆராய்ந்தேன்; நோக்கி — ஆராய்ந்து; ஒண்கமலம் — அழகிய தாமரை; அது — மலர்களைப் போன்ற திருவடிகளை; நினைந்தேன் — வணங்கினேன் இத்திருவடிகள் தவிர; ஓர்ந்து — நமக்கு வேறு புகலில்லையென்று நிரூபித்து; என்னையும் — ஆத்மாவையும்; அங்கு — அத்திருவடிகளிலேயே; ஓக்கினேன் — ஸமர்ப்பித்தேன்
