about the purushŏththama (best among all sentient entities) whose divine names will sever our connection with repeated births —

upāsakars (worshipers/followers who use their own efforts) avoid two types of births, —

without janma (birth), vyādhi (disease), jarā (old age), maraṇa (death) which are the cause for such gains and lack of them —

who may be born in any level of birth, —

the various births that we take —

instead of despising “What is our knowledge? What is our status? What is our birth?” (īnstead of looking at the lowliness of these) —

seven generations —

seven generations of ancestors and descendants —

seven times seven births —

in various births —

in every moment of every birth —

ahankāram (ego) and mamakāram (possessiveness) which result from birth —

birth in a clan which is free from any faults —

dwelling at thiruppĕrnagar, being ready forever [to protect his followers] —

attaining the status of not being born —

as unparalleled Brahmin bachelor —

by birth, death, disease and old-age —

getting rid of birth, death, old age and disease —

the death and birth (which occur to these) —

any type of birth [in any of the classes of dhĕvas, humans, animals and plants] —
