instead of having doubts as to whether that is good or this is bad —

to be in a particular manner —

other than the activity of digging a lake in that area so that rain water will not flow elsewhere but into that lake —

other than attaining —

this is the benefit that one gets for that purushārtham dharmam (which ī had spoken of, earlier) —

other than this —

 ḥe pointed to and told that the beautiful divine place thiruvāli is this. —

is it not this? —

 īt appears that this is the way of those who lost their controlled state. —

please tell him this —

the sorrows that we experienced (in this samsāram) are like these. —

 how (being too old!) —

what is the reason for this —

my soul —

 is it good (to call out openly loudly)’, —

the four shoulders which are like a huge mountain and which torment me, who is a sinner —

this —

not understanding/saying that this separation is unbearable —

saying ‘only you have done this’ —

 determining that this is the right time to kill him —
