திருமாலை வாழ்த்தாமல் இருப்பது பாவம்

2628 வகைசேர்ந்தநல் நெஞ்சும் நாவுடையவாயும் *
மிகவாய்ந்துவீழாவெனிலும் * - மிகவாய்ந்து
மாலைத்தாம் வாழ்த்தாதிருப்பர்இதுவன்றே? *

Simple Translation

2628. There are people who do not wish to praise him who is adorned with a thulasi garland even though their good hearts and their tongues would like to. Is that because they have done bad karmā in a past life?

வகை சேர்ந்த — ஞானமார்க்கத்திற்கு வழியாக; நல் நெஞ்சும் — நல்ல நெஞ்சும்; நா உடைய — எம்பெருமானை துதிக்க நாவோடு; வாயும் — கூடின வாயும்; மிக வாய்ந்து — இருந்தும்; தாம் மிக ஆய்ந்து — மனிதர்கள் ஆராய்ந்து; வீழா எனிலும் — பெருமானை அனுபவிக்காவிட்டாலும்; மாலை — திருமாலை; வாழ்த்தாது — வாழ்த்தாமல்; இருப்பர் — இருக்கிறார்கள்; தாம் — மேலும் தாங்கள்; செய்யும் வினை — செய்யும் பாபங்கள்; மேலை — வரும் காலத்தையும்; இது வன்றே — வீணாக்குமன்றோ?

vagai sĕrndha — that which has come as the path (for manifesting knowledge); nal nenjum — superior mind; nāvu udaiya — having tongue; vāyum — mouth too; miga vāyndhu — involving deeply; vīzhā enilum — even if they do not attain (emperumān); miga āyndhu — taking lot of troubles; mālai — sarvĕṣvaran (lord of all); thām vāzhththādhiruppār — samsāris will not praise emperumān; mĕlai — since time immemorial; thām seyyum vinai — the result of their sins; idhu anṛĕ — is it not this?
