971. Before bile surges and eyes shrink with tears, Before old age bends us, our feet stumbling in pain, Worship the One who, as a boy, lifted Govardhana high At Badrinath, where cool ponds brim with leaping fish.

Let us hasten to worship the sacred abode of Śrī Badarikāśrama, before the inexorable advance of old age overtakes our mortal frames. We must turn our hearts towards Bhagavān before our eyes, having lost their vitality, shrink and begin to discharge impurities; before the bile rises, signifying the body's utter decay; and before we are consumed by the debilitating infirmities
