we did not come here for getting (this) paṛai (drum instrument) given today —

and about the way in which they got the (their) well known goal (purushārththam), (as explained by) —

promised yesterday itself that ḥe would give paṛai instrument that makes sound; —

with the musical instrument paṛai (a kind of drum) reverberating —

the drum tied (to the waist) to sound —

to get paṛai (instrument (mŏksham)) —

and get paṛai (instrument/mŏksham) (from ḥim) —

and receive paṛai (instrument) —

onlysrīman nārāyaṇan can give us (us who depend only on him) the opportunity to do kainkaryam to ḥim. —

one who is sung pallāṇdu by us; one who gives us our goal that is doing kainkaryam —

 a percussion instrument, —

if you would satisfy our wishes —

paṛai instrument (drum) —

give (us what we) required. —
