489 நாயகனாய்நின்ற நந்தகோபனுடைய
கோயில்காப்பானே! * கொடித்தோன்றும் தோரண
வாயில்காப்பானே! * மணிக்கதவம்தாள்திறவாய் *
ஆயர்சிறுமியரோமுக்கு * அறைபறை
மாயன்மணிவண்ணன் நென்னலேவாய்நேர்ந்தான் *
தூயோமாய்வந்தோம் துயிலெழப்பாடுவான் *
வாயால்முன்னம்முன்னம் மாற்றாதேயம்மா! * நீ
நேயநிலைக்கதவம் நீக்கேலோரெம்பாவாய். (2)

tūyomāy vantom tuyilĕzhap pāṭuvāṉ *
vāyāl muṉṉamuṉṉam māṟṟāte ammā ! *
nī neya nilaik katavam nīkku-elor ĕmpāvāy (16)

489. The girls' address to the guards of Nandagopan's palace.
“Oh! guards of the palace of the lord Nandagopan; those who
protect the doors that are decorated with flags and festoons!
Open the door.
The jewel-colored, dark Māyavan promised us the cowherd
girls yesterday that He would give the eternal service opportunity(Parai)
We have taken bath and have come pure to sing and wake
Him up.
O guard! Don’t offer excuses.
Open the front door of this palace!
We are going to worship our Pāvai.
