you must bless me by bestowing me with everything, beginning with being qualified —

you would see that ī have no refuge other than you —

kindly bestow —

it is that emperumān himself, see for yourself —

it is that emperumān only —

it is the sarvĕṣvaran (supreme being) himself who is existing as the body composed of the five elements —

it is he —

know about him —

(due to your external focus or due to considering yourself to be inferior) do not lose! —

the sorrows that we experienced (in this samsāram) are like these. —

you can see that he exists at all times (with a vow to protect us) —

see that (at all places) at all times (in protecting us) he exists —

the cruelty of samsāram (materialistic realm) is like this, do observe. —

is only the fault of this samsāram, do observe. —

is it not this? —

ī am without anyone, please consider —

see that he is the witness —

behold the paramapurusha (supreme entity) with lotus like eyes —

try to engage with him —

don-t let go of him- so says āzhvār to his heart —
