மனமே! கண்ணனையே வாழ்த்து

2667 அயர்ப்பாயயராப்பாய் நெஞ்சமே! சொன்னேன் *
உயப்போம்நெறியிதுவேகண்டாய் * - செயற்பால
வல்லவேசெய்கிறுதி நெஞ்சமே! அஞ்சினேன் *
மல்லர்நாள் வவ்வினனை வாழ்த்து.

Simple Translation

2667. O heart, you do not want to do good things and you are tired of the results of your karmā. See, I told you this. Find a way to save yourself. I am worried about myself He fought with the wrestlers and killed them. The way you will be saved is to worship him.

நெஞ்சமே! — ஓ மனமே!; செயற்பால அல்லவே — செய்யத்தகாதவற்றையே; செய்கிறுதி — செய்ய முயல்கிறாய்; நெஞ்சமே! அஞ்சினேன் — என்று அஞ்சினேன் நெஞ்சே!; மல்லர் நாள் — மல்லர்களின் ஆயுளை முடித்த; வவ்வினனை வாழ்த்து — கண்ணனை வாழ்த்தி வணங்கு; உயப்போம் நெறி — அதுவே நீ உய்வடைய சிறந்த வழி; இதுவே கண்டாய் — என்பதை அறிந்துகொள்; அயர்ப்பாய் — மறவாமல் நினைந்து வாழ்ந்தாலும் சரி; அயராப்பாய் — மறந்து கெட்டாலும் உன் பாடு; சொன்னேன் — நான் கூற வேண்டிய நல்லதைக் கூறிவிட்டேன்
