being very distinguished in thiruvūragam [a divine abode in kānchīpuram] —

 after saying that thiruvarangam that is rich in water resources is my place, ḥe went away, —

the people who saw this —

it is the residing place of the Lord —

the towns/abodes —

 all the dhivya dhĕṣams, —

without missing any of the divine abodes (entering all those places) —

a saying “one should not engage in madal to sustain (one’s life)” —

 ŏh ẏou who is having divine presence in thiru ūragam of kāncheepuram which is loveable and beautiful!, and, —

even if all the people abuse (me) —

Was she spoken ill of, by the people? (no) —

ī was not born in a dhivya dhĕṣam where you [emperumān] are dwelling —

to live in such a town —

moving slowly —

its the city of the Lord who —

 ŏh ŏne who is giving divine presence in the divine place called ūragam by pervading the whole of kachchi (by your qualities)! —

 ŏh ŏne who lives in the city of kānchee having divine ramparts / walls! —

ūragam, which is within the fortified kānchi —
