414 karul̤ uṭaiya pŏzhil marutum * katak kal̤iṟum pilampaṉaiyum kaṭiya māvum *
urul̤ uṭaiya cakaṭaraiyum mallaraiyum * uṭaiya viṭṭu ocai keṭṭāṉ **
irul̤ akaṟṟum ĕṟi katiroṉ * maṇṭalattūṭu eṟṟi vaittu eṇi vāṅki *
arul̤ kŏṭuttiṭṭu aṭiyavarai * āṭkŏl̤vāṉ amarum ūr aṇi araṅkame (3)
Simple Translation
414. Our lord destroyed the Asurans
when they came as marudu trees in the dark groves,
the rutting elephant Kuvalayāpeedam, the Asuran Pilamban,
the Rakshasā Kesi who came as a wild horse,
Sakatāsuran who came as a cart, and the wrestlers
He resides in the beautiful Srirangam
where he makes the bright sun rise in the sky
and removes the darkness of the earth, giving his grace to his devotees, as they worship him.
