asking him “ṅrant me three steps of land” —

when searching for those who are willing to be his servitors —

if (you ) desire ṣrīvaikuṇtam, the dwelling place of nithyasūris —

desiring the war which carries respect —

and stay there for ever (nithya vāsam); —

 desired for (to give) kingdom —

whatever we prayed for —

behold, ī am beseeching —

(in this matter of engaging in madal) we will follow the method prescribed in great samskrutha literature —

to make them go back —

playing joyfully in places which they desire —

seeking —

(you) begged for —

out of own desire —
