Avathārikai (Introduction)
In this profound pāśuram, the Āzhvār addresses his own heart (maṉas), imploring it with great urgency and affection. He counsels it, saying, “Let the people of this world pursue their own varied and transient goals as they may. But you, O my heart, must never, under any circumstances, relinquish your hold on our supreme master, Emperumān!”
