கண்ணன் தாள் வாழ்த்துவதைக் கற்றிடு

2651 அதுவோநன்றென்று அங்கமருலகோவேண்டில் *
அதுவோபொருளில்லையன்றே? * - அதுவொழிந்து
மண் இன்று ஆள்வேனெனிலும் கூடும்மடநெஞ்சே! *
கண்ணன்தாள் வாழ்த்துவதேகல்.

2651 atuvo naṉṟu ĕṉṟu * aṅku amar ulako veṇṭil *

Simple Translation

2651. O ignorant heart, if you think you do not want to stay in this world and want to go to the world of the gods, he will give you that boon, and if you say, “I want to stay in this world and rule it, ” he will give that also. Learn only to worship and praise the feet of Kannan and you will get what you want.

மடநெஞ்சே! — அறிவு கெட்ட மனமே!; அதுவோ நன்று என்று — பரமபதாநுபவம் சிறந்ததென்று; அங்கு அமர் உலகோ — அந்த தேவர்கள் உலகை; வேண்டில் — பரமபதத்தை விரும்பினால்; அதுவோ — அதனைக் கொடுப்பது எம்பெருமானுக்கு; பொருள் இல்லை அன்றே — ஒரு பெரிய விஷயமில்லை; அது ஒழிந்து — அந்தப் பரமபதத்தைத் தவிர்த்து; மண் நின்று ஆள்வேன் — பூலோகத்தை ஆள்வேன்; எனிலும் கூடும் — என்றாலும் அதைக் கொடுப்பான்; கண்ணன் — ஆக எதையும் அளிக்க வல்ல பெருமானின்; தாள் — திருவடிகளை; வாழ்த்துவதே — வாழ்த்தி வணங்குவதே சிறந்தது; கல் — என்பதைக் கற்று உணர்வாய்

angu adhu nanṛu enṛu — knowing that enjoying emperumān at paramapadham (ṣrī vaikuṇtam) is good; amar ulagu vĕṇdil — if (you ) desire ṣrīvaikuṇtam, the dwelling place of nithyasūris; adhu — that paramapadham; porul̤ illai anṛĕ — is not a significant material (which emperumān cannot grant us); adhu ozhindhu — leaving aside desiring that paramapadham; maṇ ninṛu āl̤vĕn enilum — if one desires to remain in this world and enjoy its pleasures; kūdum — it is possible (for us to get that); mada nenjĕ — ŏh mind, which is obedient towards me!; kaṇṇan thāl̤ — (leaving aside all these things) only the divine feet of kaṇṇan (krishṇa); vāzhththuvadhĕ — praising; kal — learn
