த்ரை குண்ய விஷயா வேதா -என்கிறபடியே -ஐஸ்வர்யாதி சகல புருஷார்த்தங்களையும் யதாதிகாரம் விதிக்கிற-வேத மர்யாதையிலேநின்றார்கள் ருஷிகள் – அதாகிறது வேத உப ப்ரும்ஹண முகத்தாலே சேதனருடைய குண அநுகூலமாக ஐஸ்வர்யாதி ஷூத்ர

- Verse 1:
937. Leaving behind my Lord Kṛṣṇa—He who is the great Māyavan (master of divine mystery), who allowed Himself to be bound by a delicate and slender rope with many knots by Yaśodā— and instead, the very moment I uttered the name Nammazhvar, the Nammazhvar of glorious Thirukkuruhur who is ever near and dear, that very instant, my lowly tongue began to taste a nectar sweeter than any, one that flows like ambrosia. - Verse 2:
938. With my tongue, I praised Nammazhvar and attained bliss. Truly, I have sought refuge at his golden feet. I do not recognize any deity other than him. I now go about singing the sweet music of his verses— of that Azhvār from the sacred city of Kurugūr. - Verse 3:
939. Even if I were to leave the Azhvār— even if such a separation were to occur— I would still worship the dark, rain-cloud–hued divine form of the Lord. Yet, the greatest fortune that has come to me is that I have become a servant to the glorious Azhvār of the great city of Kurugūr. That alone is my true blessing. - Verse 4:
940. Since those well-versed in the Vedas, who are full of noble qualities, consider me lowly, I accept Nammazhvar—who possesses all good qualities and rules over me as both mother and father—as my Lord. - Verse 5:
941. I, who have now received the humility to call myself a servant, once sought the gifts given by others, and even placed my desire in other women. But now, I have become a devotee— one who renders service to Nammazhvar of the sacred Kurugūr, adorned with golden mansions. - Verse 6:
942. From this day forward, in all my future births, my devotion to the Azhvār has become firm and unwavering. He has blessed me so that I may forever praise his glory. That Azhvār—the Lord of Tirukkurugūr— will never forsake me at any time. Know this to be the truth. - Verse 7:
943. Śaṭakopan, the son of Kāri Māran and our revered Lord, showered deep love upon me and accepted me. He destroyed the cruel karmas from my past through His grace. Therefore, I shall proclaim His mercy and the verses He sang in clear Tamil so that people in all eight directions may come to know them. - Verse 8:
944. He is the one who revealed the rare inner meanings of the Vedas so that devotees may rejoice in the celebrated grace of God. He composed them as a thousand verses in sweet Tamil— the Tiruvāymoḻi, by His divine grace. Behold this grace of the Azhvār! In this world, it is this grace alone that truly endures. - Verse 9:
945. Śaṭakopan, who possesses noble qualities and bears that sacred name, sang the deep meanings of the Vedas—those recited by the finest Vedic scholars— so they may remain firmly established. He placed them in my heart. From that very moment, a deep longing to serve that Azhvār arose within me. And the fruit of that devotion is none other than lifelong servitude at his divine feet. - Verse 10:
946. Even if there is no personal benefit in reforming others, and even if such efforts fail— O Azhvār of Kurugūr, surrounded by groves where cuckoos sing— You reform them through your noble actions and accept them in your service. At your glorious feet, I strive to offer only my devotion. - Verse 11:
947. The Lord, who is full of love, is ever affectionate toward all who have surrendered to Him. Likewise, Madhurakavi, the devoted disciple, was full of love for Nammazhvar, who resides in the southern city of Kurugūr. He composed the hymn Kaṇṇi nuṇ siṛuttāmbu out of that devotion. Those who place their faith in this hymn— know for certain: their destination is Vaikuṇṭha.
