சடகோபன் என் பழவினைகளை அகற்றினான்

943 கண்டுகொண்டென்னைக் காரிமாறப்பிரான் *
பண்டைவல்வினை பாற்றியருளினான் *
எண்டிசையும் அறியவியம்புகேன் *
ஒண்தமிழ்ச் சடகோபனருளையே.

Simple Translation

943. My chief Māran the son of Kāri accepted me and made my bad karmā go away. I will tell the people of all the eight directions of the grace I have received from Sadagopan, the wonderful Tamil poet.

Nammāzhvār, the auspicious son of Poṟkāri, has bestowed upon me his divine blessings and engaged me in his sacred service. He has dispelled my eternal sins that have trailed me since time immemorial. I am compelled to proclaim the glories of Nammāzhvār, the repository of sublime Tamil pāsurams, to all directions, enlightening people about his boundless mercy.
