what is the benefit (that they had) thus obtained? —

this is the benefit that one gets for that purushārtham dharmam (which ī had spoken of, earlier) —

though there is no personal gain (by reforming others) —

being the benefactor of the resulting joy and sorrow of such karmas —

being enjoyable to the mind, since you are the result of knowledge —

six types of tastes (mentioned in the sāsthras) is ẏou who is all such tastes for me. —

what is the use? —

 ṣhe called it, saying  ‘ī got the fulfilment due to nurturing/raising you; come here’  —

ẏou are the one who creates happiness and sadness (based on karmās) —

a benefit that is acquired —

one who taught vĕdhas (sacred texts) —

 given birth by the ocean —

this has been beneficial; there after —

 as ultimate goal —
