emperumān —

one who is my lord —

sarvĕṣvaran, who is my lord —

the master who accepted my service (by showing such pride of full independence) —

having [eternal] relationship (which is the cause for removing the fatigue and helping) —

my lord who manifested such reclining posture and made me his servitor —

my lord who won over me by the beauty of his lotus eyes —

 being my lord —

 sarvĕṣvaran who enslaved us —

 one who is my lord —

 sarvĕṣvaran who enslaved me —
