ŏther than saying ‘ŏh my elephant! ŏh my elephant!’ (calling emperumān so), —

became the indwelling soul for the four types of entities (celestial, human, animal and botanical) —

 oh one who forbears my faults just as an elephant would do! —

 ŏh ŏne who stands in front of nithyasūris (for them to see and enjoy ẏou) —

 ŏh ŏne who is like an elephant in the westerly (in sleeping pose in thiruvarangam)! —

being the medicine (that is in the form of simplicity/auspicious qualities) —

 ŏh you who are the controller of vĕdhams! —

 ŏh the cause of the world! —

 ŏh ŏne who is like the gold! —

 ŏh ŏne who is like an elephant that stands in the beautiful thirumālirunchŏlai mountain —

 ŏh ŏne who is like an elephant that stands in the thiruvĕnkatam in the north! —

ŏh one who is having them as body by being their antharāthmā (indwelling soul)! —

being the one —

you are; —

 ŏh you who are like a wild elephant! —
