having clarity that he is dependent on his followers —

remaining without leaving any —

one who has the primary name, nārāyaṇa, which is the root of all of those names —

see, it was only emperumān —

that kaṇṇan will be protector in all ways —

 that chakravarthi thiruamgan (divine son of emperor dhaṣarathi) himself —

having them as prakāram (form) —

he himself —

sarvĕṣvaran only (who is revealed through the faultless vĕdhāntha) —

he (who is having the qualities explained here) is the only refuge —

to be considered as himself (due to being the prakāri (antharāthmā) [for them]) —

he who does not expect any help; —

to be only him —
