மோகூர்ப் பெருமானைத் தொழுமின்

3790 துயர்கெடும்கடிதடைந்துவந்து அடியவர்! தொழுமின் *
உயர்கொள்சோலை ஒண்தடமணியொளிதிருமோகூர் *
பெயர்களாயிரமுடைய வல்லரக்கர்புக்கழுந்த *
தயரதன்பெற்ற மரதகமணித்தடத்தினையே.

Simple Translation

3790. O devotees, all your sorrows will soon vanish if you come and worship at the tank adorned with sapphires, where King Tayarataṉ triumphed over the thousand-named Rakṣasas who met their ignoble fate. Our Father resides in Tirumōkūr, amidst majestic gardens and beautiful ponds.

Detailed Explanation

In this eighth pāśuram, our revered Āzhvār lovingly instructs us with the paramount assurance that as we surrender unto the valiant son of Emperor Daśaratha, who is mercifully standing in the divine kṣetram of Thirumōgūr, all our sorrows will be vanquished.
