In the profound dialogue of this ninth pāśuram, Nammāzhvār, in a state of deep humility, expresses a sentiment of unworthiness. As elucidated by the great ācāryas Nañjīyar and Nampiḷḷai, the Āzhvār declares to Emperumāṉ, "The butter offered by the likes of Yaśodā and the other gopikās is indeed nectarean sustenance for You, for it is borne of their great attachment.
