திருமங்கை அனுப்பிய திருத்துழாய் மாலை

Simple Translation

50. The divine Lakshmi seated on a lotus that drips honey sent you a garland of forest thulasi and a garland of karpaga flowers that bloomed in the fertile grove in the sky to decorate your forehead. O king, do not cry, do not cry, thālelo, you rest on Adishesha in Kudandai (Kumbakonam), thālelo.

This glorious pāśuram describes a divine and loving gift sent to the infant Lord by none other than Periya Pirāṭṭiyār, the foremost among His divine consorts. It is a tender lullaby, sung to soothe the Lord with offerings that are as magnificent as His own supreme nature.
