Kṛṣṇa, in His divine leela, vanquished Kuvalayāpīḍa, the royal elephant adorned and jubilant in the service of Kamsa. If such Kṛṣṇa were to traverse the streets of Madhurā, a city encircled by palatial estates and grand mansions, and deign to join us—drawing the gaze of all onlookers—let us gather together in a complete circle and manifest this sacred union.

மாட மாளிகை சூழ் மதுரைப் பதி நாடி நந்தெருவின் நடுவே வந்திட்டு ஓடை மா மதயானை யுதைத்தவன் கூடுமாகில் நீ கூடிடு கூடலே—4-5-

பதவுரை

ஓடை–நெற்றிப் பட்டத்தை யுடைத்தாய் மா மதம்–மிக்க மதத்தை யுடைத்தான யானை–(குவலயா பீடமென்னும்) யானையை உதைத்தவன்–உதைத்து முடித்த கண்ண பிரான் மாடம் மாளிகை சூழ் மதுரை பதி–மாடங்களுடைய மாளிகைகளாலே சூழப்பட்ட மதுரை மாநகரிலே நாடி–(நம் வீட்டைத்)
