Simple Translation

2091. O lord with a heroic discus! People say that you really swallowed the earth, hills, the oceans rolling with waves, the wind and the sky. If one tries to understand how you did that, was your mouth as big as the whole earth at that time?

மண்ணும் மலையும் — பூமியும் மலையும்; மறி கடலும் மாருதமும் — அலைகடலும் காற்றும்; விண்ணும் — ஆகாசமும் ஆகிய இவற்றை எல்லாம்; விழுங்கியது — விழுங்கியது; மெய் என்பர் — உண்மை என்று சொல்லுவர் ரிஷிகள்; எண்ணில் — இதனை ஆராய்ந்தால்; அலகு அளவு கண்ட — எண்ணிறைந்த கல்யாண குணங்களையும்; சீர் ஆழியாய்க்கு — சக்கரத்தையும் உடைய உனக்கு; அன்று உன் வாய் — அப்போது உன் வாய்; இவ் உலகு அளவு உண்டோ? — இவ்வுலகு அளவு இருந்ததோ?
