37 நோக்கியசோதை நுணுக்கியமஞ்சளால் *
நாக்குவழித்து நீராட்டும்இந்நம்பிக்கு *
வாக்கும்நயனமும் வாயும்முறுவலும் *
மூக்கும்இருந்தவாகாணீரே மொய்குழலீர்! வந்துகாணீரே.

Simple Translation

37. Yashodā lovingly cleans His tongue and bathes Him with soft turmeric powder. Come and see the tongue of the child. Come and see His eyes, mouth, teeth and nose. O girls who have thick hair, come and see.

யசோதை — யசோதைப்பிராட்டி; நோக்கி — கண்ணனின் மென்மையான திருமேனிக்கு ஏற்ப; நுணுக்கிய மஞ்சளால் — அரைத்த பசுமஞ்சள் விழுதால்; நாக்கு வழித்து — நாக்கு வழித்து விட்டு பிறகு; நீராட்டும் — திருமஞ்சனம் பண்ணுகிற; இந் நம்பிக்கு — இக்கண்ணபிரானின்; வாக்கும் நயனமும் — வாக்கும் கண்களும்; வாயும் முறுவலும் மூக்கும் — வாயும் புன்முறுவலும் மூக்கும்; இருந்தவா காணீரே — இருக்கும் அழகைக் காண வாருங்கள்; மொய்குழலீர்! — அடர்த்தியான கேசத்தையுடைய பெண்களே!; வந்து காணீரே! — வந்து பாரீர்!
