சங்கு சக்கரம் நிலவும் கைத்தலங்கள்

34 மைத்தடங்கண்ணி யசோதைவளர்க்கின்ற *
செய்த்தலைநீலநிறத்துச் சிறுப்பிள்ளை *
நெய்த்தலைநேமியும் சங்கும்நிலாவிய *
கைத்தலங்கள் வந்துகாணீரே கனங்குழையீர்! வந்துகாணீரே.

Simple Translation

34. Yashodā whose eyes are darkened with kohl, nurtures the dark blue-colored child. He carries in his hands a conch and a discus smeared with oil. Come and see his hands O girls wearing gold studs, come and see his hands.

மைத் தடங்கண்ணி — மையணிந்த பெரிய கண்களையுடைய; யசோதை வளர்க்கின்ற — யசோதையால் வளர்க்கப்படுகின்ற; தலை செய் — உயர்ந்த வயலிலே; நீல நிறத்து — கருநெய்தல் பூ போன்ற நிறத்தையுடைய; சிறுப்பிள்ளை — இளம்பிள்ளை; நெய்த்தலை — கூர்மையான முனையுடைய; நேமியும் சங்கும் — சக்கரமும் சங்கும்; நிலாவிய — அமைந்துள்ள; கைத்தலங்கள் வந்து — உள்ளங்கைகளை; காணீரே — பாரீர்!; கனங்குழையீர்! — தங்கக் காதணிகளையுடைய பெண்களே; வந்து காணீரே! — வந்து காணீரே!
