Simple Translation

2188. When he raised his ankleted feet and fought with his enemies Namusi and others with his heroic discus, he scared them and made their minds burn. O heart, worship happily his divine golden lotus feet.

āzhi nenjĕ — ŏh mind, which is as deep as the ocean!; kazhal eduththu — as one who lifted his divine feet; māṝār — those enemies such as namuchi; azhal eduththa sindhaiyarāy anja — shivering with their hearts burning like fire, out of fear; vāy madiththu — puckering his lips; kaṇ suzhanṛu — rolling his eyes (such that his enemies will collapse by the mere look); thazhal eduththa pŏr āzhi — the sudharṣana chakkaram (divine disc) which is spitting fire and is battle ready; ĕndhinān — emperumān who is donning; pon malar chĕ adiyĕ — the divine feet which are like beautiful flower; ugandhu ŏr — keep meditating, with desire.

Kazhal Eduththu – When He lifted His divine foot to measure the worlds, it signifies that He bestowed blessings upon the devas (celestial beings), the inhabitants of the higher realms who are His devotees. Furthermore, this act symbolizes the destruction of the asuras (demons) who do not follow Him.
